Utility trailers play a crucial role in various industries, offering versatile solutions for transporting goods, equipment, and materials. At Dexter, we recognize the diverse applications and requirements for utility trailers across different sectors. That's why we provide a comprehensive range of utility trailer systems and components tailored to meet the demands of various industries.
Our utility trailer offerings are designed with durability, functionality, and ease of use in mind. As pioneers in the towable work industry, we leverage high-quality materials and innovative engineering to ensure that our utility trailers deliver exceptional performance and longevity.
From construction sites to landscaping projects, our utility trailers are built to handle a wide range of tasks efficiently. Whether you need a flatbed, enclosed, dump, or specialty trailer, we have the products and expertise to meet your needs.
When selecting utility trailer parts, it's essential to consider factors such as size, durability, and compatibility with your specific trailer model. Here are some key features to keep in mind:
- Axles & Brakes:
- Are the axles big enough to support your loads?
- Are your axles equipped with the right type of brakes to stop you safely? Choose between disc brakes and drum brakes.
- ABS systems have generally been unavailable on utility or recreational trailers. Dexter developed the first trailer ABS system, Tow Assist®, built specifically for electric drum brake trailers.
- Lighting: Do you have the proper safety lights with the correct illumination to keep you safe on the road?
- Quality manufacturer warranty: Insure that issues that arise will be handled in a timely and professional manner. Maintenance and repairs are going to be needed.
- Hitches: Are you using an adjustable hitch that can be used on multiple pieces of equipment? Material of hitch- use something with a solid steel shaft to stand up to heavy loads.
- Type of Tires: Are your tires rated for the weight you’re transporting?
- Hydraulic Lifts: Make sure the product is durable and is rated for the weight it will be lifting. What type of power supply does it use? Do you need a Solar charger so you don’t get stuck in the middle of a project?
- Accessories like ramps or cages: Make sure your ramps are durable and won’t rust. Do they have traction? Consider a textured ramp like diamond tread plate. Make sure the safety chains are the correct size and weight rating. Have a slippery floor? Consider using rubber to give you the proper traction.
